WPS Magazine Seeks to ‘Inspire’ Community

The first ever edition of the WPS magazine “Inspire” is now available across the north metro area at local schools, libraries, recreation centers, and businesses, as well as online.

Created by the WPS Communications Department in both Spanish and English, the magazine is designed to inform families about the people and projects that make Westminster Public Schools special, but also provide fun, helpful information for any busy parent. Topics range from the impact of Artificial Intelligence to recipes that kids and parents can work on together in the kitchen.

“We wanted to try something a little different in telling the WPS story,” said Chief Communications Officer Steve Saunders. “The magazine is more in-depth than the quarterly mailers we were previously sending to the community. People seem to be overwhelmed by information overload in the mail, so we created something a little more thoughtful and engaging.”

Among the stories featured in the first issue are profiles of the WHS Class Valedictorian, Samantha Morales-Jurado and the filming of a major motion picture on the Iver C. Ranum Innovation Campus. The Man Who Changed the World is the true-life story of a local family and their belief in themselves which lead to the creation of a billion-dollar company and other innovations. The film is currently in post-production and may be shown at the Sundance Film Festival.
