A Night of Celebration at the 2025 District Showcase

The 2025 District Showcase last Monday was once again a night to remember for the Westminster Public Schools community. Families, students, and staff came together at Westminster High School for an evening filled with costumes, candy, live music performances, and student creativity.

Throughout the event, families had the chance to explore school improvement plans, meet teachers and staff, and see how students across the district are using their skills to think critically, solve problems, and create their own paths to success.

New this year was the costume contest, with categories including Most Original, Scariest and Best Homemade costumes. The star of the night was a toddler dressed as a paletero (popsicle vendor or street vendor.) His miniature shopping cart was covered with snacks such as Takis and peanuts, and included a sign reading “No Cash… No Paleta.” The adorable 2-year-old’s outfit was complete with a red bandana around his neck, a straw hat and a fake mustache.

The Showcase is also a great way for younger students to visit Westminster High School and explore all the exciting opportunities that await them in the years ahead- from athletic teams and student clubs to exciting career technical pathways. One young attendee was overheard asking his mother excitedly, “How old do I have to be to come to this school? Can I start next year?”

Superintendent Jeni Gotto was in attendance, sharing that the much-anticipated annual tradition perfectly captures the spirit of WPS.

What’s up WPS photographers were out and about taking pictures of the night and all the amazing costumes. Take a look at our online photo album to see if we took a picture of you, your child, or your school's presentation. Feel free to download the pictures and share them, and be sure to check out the video recap below.
